SLIDESHOW-GALLERY 4:  HISTORICAL USGS MAPS, PLACE NAMES AROUND THE PARK

The Unites States Geological Survey maps of the Carmel-Monterey area provide some insight to the essence of the beautiful Point Lobos Reserve, which one can see is actually a small peninsula.  It’s fun to catch the many place names around the park, which have changed over the years, as provided on the USGS maps.  We’re surprised that “Sea Otter Rock” does not appear on the maps! (just kidding, of course).

A quote for this month

“Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as you ever can.”
