Above:  The Soda Lake area of the Carrizo Plain is arguably the most direct location in the area to get an eyeful of any superbloom going on.  The roads are best in the western area of the lake and paved most of the way to the visitors center.  Soda Lake parking is convenient for access to the boardwalk, which is solidly built along part of the west periphery of the lake.  Chemical restrooms, parking and some picnic tables are located at the visitors center.  The center is a solid place for connecting with all aspects of the plain, including cultural resources, history and the special geology of the plain due to the San Andreas Fault.

The map is interactive and can be made full-screen.
