In anticipation of a spectacular showing of what has been in the past one of the best and most consistent superblooms in Southern California, we sped up to Diamond Valley Lake in Riverside County, about four mile southwest of Hemet. Arriving in the early morning, we found the misty hillsides cradling this manmade reservoir breathing in and out the gentle, wispy clouds. This made for certain light reflections and absorptions, often preferred by photographers, giving the photos in the manual slideshow below a subtle ethereal feeling.
Our early arrival helped us take some less-traveled roads to the vistas in our photos, while the visitors exploring this natural treat gradually climbed into the thousands.
We are in the process of completing this page. Please enjoy these photos as we assemble the explanatory captions and descriptions which will give you more information.
