The February rains fell in the Anza-Borrego in unexpected amounts, bringing the uncertain expectations of a superbloom into focus.
As of April 6, it has not only happened in East San Diego county, but became a substantial reality in other traditional areas like Diamond Valley Lake, near Hemet, and the heavily-viewed incredible Lake Elsinore scene where visitor control at one point caused the area to be closed.
